My Story

Meet Miss Daisy, she is about 2 years old, and we think she is a husky/shepherd/ perhaps cattle dog mix. She was found dodging cars on Lake Mathews Drive, so scared her finder, rescuer, and now foster had to walk her all the way to her house. Daisy was the luckiest dog ever to have her foster mom and the rest of her whole foster family find her. They have a way about making a dog feel safe and so very loved. She was timid, but very friendly, covered in more ticks than we had ever seen on a dog. Her skin was so irritated that she had lost much of the hair on her back. So, she was a mystery to us, well fed, but otherwise completely neglected; but so incredibly sweet. Our best guess was that she had spent the first two years of her sad life in a kennel, fed, but otherwise completely neglected. She was posted everywhere, with no response. Since coming into the rescue, she has been completely vetted (including blood work for tick borne illnesses) and has been learning how to be part of a family. She has loved being part of her foster family. She loves all her new dog buddies but has not done as well with the cats and horses. So, we are saying probably not a farm dog, but definitely a loving family dog, even one with other dogs. This is an incredibly sweet dog, with a lot of energy, who wants nothing more than to be part of a family. She would like nothing more than to sit all afternoon with you and participate in all your family events. She has a thick beautiful coat now and such pretty markings. Daisy is completely vetted, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her perfect forever home
