My Story

Daisy is a beautiful 11 lb Pekingese who is 3 years old. Daisy would absolutely love a home where she can be with her person frequently. Even when her foster parents leave the house for a little while, Daisy celebrates when they get home with adorable Pekingese howling. She is the first to greet you when you come in the door. Like all proper Pekingese, Daisy is stubborn and expects the world to move in sync with her. She will let you know about all deliveries to your house. Daisy gets along with other dogs her size and will play with ones who engage her in play. We prefer a home with another Pekingese and someone experienced with the breed. Daisy is loving but not a cuddler. She prefers to splay out on the cool floor. If you want a dog to snuggle on the couch or your bed, that is not Daisy, although it’s not a reflection of how she feels about you! Daisy is cooperative for grooming and baths. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door that opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
