My experience of humans before I came to CAAWS was not positive. I was found running loose in a park by two of CAAWS’s volunteers. I had rope burns around my neck and cigarette burns on my backside. I was only 11 weeks old. I was angry and fearful and would bite when handled for almost any reason, or no reason at all.
Another CAAWS volunteer took me home and gave me all the loving attention and training I needed to learn to trust again. I’m 4 months old now and have the sweet loving temperament of the Retriever breed of which I am a mix. I am up to date on vaccines and ready to find my forever home.
