My Story

Daisy is a sweet female 7 year spayed American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She finds herself at the shelter because her former owner was having personal family issues and had to move to a 'no pet' apartment. Daisy was their pet for the last 5 years and they loved her dearly but had no other choice with having to surrender her. Daisy is house-trained and crate-trained. Her former owner said that Daisy has lived with children, other dogs and cats. She may be best placed in a home without young kids though, because new situations and young ones may make her nervous. She gets a bit nervous when she first meets new people, but with simple positive reinforcement tips, she warms up fast. The staff can easily help you with many tips. Please note that she is very different in her shelter kennel, she barks at youand looks nervous. BUT, please look past this. She is a completely different dog when she is taken out of her kennel. She is quiet and very sweet. You just have to give her a chance to show you her real self.
Daisy knows sit, stay, down, off, and come. Her former owner said, 'Daisy is a very good dog. She may look intimidating at first but she is super sweet and nice.'

She is already spayed and vaccinated so she is offered at a Special Adoption Rate of $50.
