My Story

'Have you never been mellow?' Cyn is a sweet, gentle Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) who is too young at the age of 4 to know the song by Olivia Newton John, but she certainly knows how to be mellow! She's a red brindle who weighs approx 90 lbs and is full grown. She was owner surrendered long with her sister, who has since been adopted. Cyn has had some nerve damage that causes her to carry her head with a slight tilt, but her view of the world is upright and honest. She is currently being fostered only with her sister - we are unsure as to how she would do with cats. Her foster home has two young children with whom she's very gentle with. In fact, her favorite spot to nap is in a children's play tent, preferably with the child next to her! She likes to ride in the car, and is good in public places. She has a soulful face which can often be found resting upon her foster parents' knee, waiting for their hand to give her a pet. Because she's an adult she is past the age of chewing, and can be left in the house alone during the day without concern. She is shy at first, and her foster Dad says it took almost a week to get her to wag her tail, but once she feels at home she will reward you with love. For obvious reasons, all animals adopted from Homeward Bound MUST live indoors only. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for heartworm and lyme disease
