Critter is a 3.5 year old neutered male that came to us after being saved from a puppy mill. He has been a breeding dog and not been handled by people much so is very frightened. He has recently been neutered, had shots, and had a dental done in which he did lose some teeth.
Currently he is scared, doesn't understand how to go up or down stairs, is not housebroken (although he is doing very well in this regard), does get along with other dogs and is curious about cats. He is learning what a leash is and that he won't die if hooked onto one as well as what furniture is and that being in a home is a very interesting place to explore and learn.
Being a former mill dog, he may never be a cuddly IG like well socialized IG's but he is trying and is an absolute sweetheart when he does allow you to pet him. He will need someone that is extremely patient and is aware of the training issues that come with a mill dog. With patience, love and lots of attention, he will make someone a wonderful pet. We feel that due to his extreme skittishness, being in a home with fast moving children is not an ideal situation for this little boy.
