March 2010-CRICKETT HAS BEEN ADOPTED BY HIS FOSTER FAMILY!!!!
Crickett is a thin 6.5 lbs and will need to put on a couple pounds immediately. Crickett is also approx. 2-3 years old, definately a young, spunky adult.
Crickett is just like a little jack-in-the-box, he hops along beside you when you walk him, although he isn't fond of the collar and leash right now (it's a good guess that noone cared about him enough to give him a set of his own). Crickett's zest is contagious, and he will just make you smile and remember how great life is. Crickett is a little barker and he was not happy to be left behind in the kennel and let our volunteer know that he did not like her decision:-) Crickett did seem to get along with the other dogs at the clinic and didn't show any issues w/ them. Crickett is just an adorable little love bug and wants a family to call his own. Crickett's family should be ready for an active dog (terriers are known to be very active and requires an active family) and he is also looking to have a fenced in yard so he can run and play in safety.
If you are interested in Crickett, please contact Melissa at [email protected] or 319-415-1270!!
The first step to AWF's adoption process is to fill out an Adoption Application. To download our adoption application, please click here. Completed applications can be sent as an attachment to [email protected] or faxed to 319-393-0056.
The adoption fee is on a sliding scale; $90 to $150. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. We have an all volunteer staff so your entire fee goes towards saving AWF's rescue animals. If your donation covers Crickett's medical costs, then the remainder of your donation will go towards helping save another homeless pet!
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, tested for heartworm to ensure they are negative and are on flea and heartworm preventative.
No adoptions outside of an approx. 50-mile radius of Jones County/Cedar Rapids/Iowa City/Waterloo. In some instances, we are able to make an adoption outside of the radius work (but this varies on a case by case basis and may depend on where you live). The limited radius is due to a mandatory home visit needing to be done at the adoptive home by a rescue volunteer.
Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we can not guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
