Meet Cricket! This special chihuahua is 7 years old and weighs in at 7 lbs. He has the cutest face that ALL mothers love! Cricket acts a lot younger than his 7 years of age and he absolutely loves to follow the bigger dogs in his foster home. Currently, his favourite activity is to bounce around the yard, he’s faster than you’d believe that he could be capable of! Along with loving his time exploring the yard, Cricket loves watching TV and lounging on the couch with his human. His foster mom says that he’s the absolute sweetest. Cricket is great with other dogs and with kids too! We wouldn’t recommend that he share a home with cats, since he enjoys chasing them. Cricket also does great in his kennel and is almost fully potty trained. When we say that Cricket is extra special, we mean it. This boy came from a hoarding situation. The scars from that are visible in his health status and we hope that his adopter will love him with all of his quirks. He is almost potty trained but does appear to nervous pee a little around the house, but that’s nothing that an extra small belly band cannot control! He doesn’t appear to see very well, so he finds people stooping over him to be a little scary and we are recommending that he go to a home with children over 6 years old. He also has a severe cleft palate and only a semi-functioning lower jaw, which sounds scary, but he is living a very happy life despite this! His foster mom hasn’t noticed him being at all bothered by it and it doesn’t stop him from having yard zoomies or from enjoying his food! His foster mom has also been working on healing his skin and fur issues, so we hope to find an adopter who will continue to give him medicated baths.
