My Story

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact [email protected] to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this animal! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific animal you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.

You can save animals like Crawford by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to [email protected].

My name is Crawford and I'll be 8 weeks old and ready to go to my new home the weekend of April 25. My mom is a Shih Tzu, but we're not quite sure who my dad is - they say I will be a small/medium sized dog when I grow up.

I have a funny name... there is a funny reason why I have a funny name. My foster mom loves my little white spot on my nose and she thought it looked like Cindy Crawford, but since I'm a little boy, she didn't feel she could call me Cindy, so Crawford I became!

I love to play with my brothers and sisters and absolutely LOVE to snuggle and love on my foster mom and dad. My foster mom is really proud of me, I can do the whole flight of stairs leading outside (sometimes I like to whine while I do it, just to make sure she doesn't leave me behind!) and usually hold my poops until I get outside, rather than going inside. Aren't I a good little boy?

The adoption fee for Crawford is $150, which covers the cost of routine vet care and age-appropriate vaccinations.
