Cowboy is a purebred red merle male Australian Shepherd. Cowboy is 11mths of age according to the man that brought him to us. Cowboy came to the shelter after his owners moved away and left him. A neighbor took him in thinking the people would come back and get him but alas, they never did. Because the neighbor lived closed to the road and had no fenced yard to protect Cowboy, he brought him to us so he would be safe. Otherwise, he would have kept him as he is a fantastic boy. Cowboy is not only handsome with his auburn red/white coat, one blue eye and one brown eye and bobbed tail, but he is also extremely well-mannered and sweet. Being an Australian Shepherd, and of the herding breeds, Cowboy needs a fenced yard to exercise to keep busy or be out in the country away from traffic with lots of acres to run on. He would be ideal for a farm!
