My Story

Cowboy was at a shelter and he was scheduled to be the next one euthanized. But he is a very lucky dog. Someone found out about him and asked Second Chance Pets if we would find a home for him. Who could possibly have taken a beautiful dog like this to the shelter in the first place? He is called a red merle Australian Shepherd. His left eye is partially blue. He is very friendly. One thing about Aussies is that they need a lot of exercise because they are cattle dogs. The best thing for Cowboy would be if he could live in a home where someone jogs or rides bicycles or does some other activities that he could participate in. He would also be perfect for competitive sports like frisbees, flyball, or agility. Aussies are very smart and he will learn very quickly whatever you want to teach him. He has not been around cats, so we don't know if he likes them or not. If he was around them, he would probably herd them because that is what cattle dogs instinctively do. Come and see him - he is too beautiful for words. He is 1 year old. His adoption fee is $200.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
