My Story

Ginger was born November 2019. She is a mini red border collie. We adopted her from a family in Salt Lake City. The family stated that she was good with cats, dogs, and kids. She has been great with our kids and we do not have cats. She has, however, been fighting with my mother-in-law‘s dog who lives next-door. She would do best in a home with no other dogs. She is very emotionally intuitive and likes to follow me around and stay close to me. She loves playing fetch, and every time I go outside to water anything or fill the tanks, she is right there beside me to play in the water and keep me company. She loves snuggling on the couch and just being near me. I’m sad to give her up, but she is stressed out, living next-door to a dog that she fights with. She would make a wonderful companion dog, and I think she would do well with someone even if they have to be gone for work. She does very good in quiet, calm situations and she does not have a chewing problem. She hesitates to even chew on toys that I get her made for chewing. She is housebroken, up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies, she is dewormed and spayed. She is a very good girl in every way except for her difficulty with other dogs. We don’t have cats so we don’t know how she would do with cats. We have squirrels on our property and I’ve never seen her give them interest or chase them, so I’m hopeful that she would do OK with cats. The home that we picked her up from did not look like a good home, and she was very skinny and hungry, and not spayed or vaccinated. We don’t know what all she has been through in life, but she warms up to people, men and women, quickly if they give her a little love and scratch her behind the ears. If you throw a ball for her, you are good as a friend in her book after that. She is very adorable and affectionate. Please help us find the right fit for Ginger. She deserves a loving home.
