Cotton II

2-13-09 Cotton sure has changed since he came to Oklahoma Westie Rescue! He is getting his beautiful coat back and gaining confidence daily. He is so funny to watch with his toys. We have a saying in our house that all toys belong to Cotton. Cotton knows that the toys that the dogs take into the backyard get brought in weekly and put in the washing machine. He also knows that they are taken out of the dryer before he can have them back. So every time his foster Mom goes into the laundry room, he is right there looking into the dryer to see if his toys are coming out. He is an absolute hoot and such a smart little guy! Cotton is also a talker. Just say “What’s up Cotton?” and he will answer with a resounding Ah Rooooooo!

Cotton is a great sleeper. He sleeps all night in his foster parents’ bed without a peep and snuggles in close. And he’s potty trained too! Cotton had a rough start in life, but he is certainly making up for it now.

Meet Cotton. Cotton is just 1 1/2 years old, but was in pretty rough shape when he came to us. He was thin and had ear mites and eye and skin infections, but had such a sweet spirit and happy attitude that it was hard not to love him. Cotton is now on the mend. His infections are cleared up, he is growing more hair and gaining some weight. Along with all of that, he is gaining confidence and learning how to be a house dog. Cotton is 95% potty trained and can walk on a leash. He loves playing with other dogs and, as you can see by his picture, LOVES his toys. He also loves all the attention he can get.

Oklahoma Westie Rescue will only adopt to applicants who reside within the following states: OK, AR, MO, KS and TX. If you live outside these areas OR if you have children under the age of 10, please do not apply for this dog.
