Corky 2 yrs.

Friendly and so good natured, two year old Corky is one of those Labs you want to scoop up and love! All 64 pounds of him radiates happiness and wanting to please. Corky was picked up as a stray and it was clear this very forgiving youngster was not given the loving attention he deserved. He had been left outside on hot summer days to be attacked by biting flies which left the tops of his ears sore and infected. "They're all healed now and I'm just waiting for a little chocolaty fur to grow back!" wags Corky.

Corky is soaking up kindness, love and attention in his foster home. He's housetrained, crate trained, comes when called and is happy to show off his "sit". On the leash he pulls a little and can be a tad enthusiastic meeting new friends. He's mighty interested in what's up there on counter, so it's best to put edibles away. He enjoys car rides and happily hangs his head out the window. With other dogs Corky is easy going and ready to initiate some fun. The cat in his foster home is quite interesting; he likes to watch her and wants to play.

Corky likes to retrieve and play with bones and balls. While he's happy to run and play in the yard, he also loves to be with you and be petted. He's a sensitive, rather timid and submissive boy who finds loud voices scary. Loads of love and guidance to help Corky feel more secure after a rather neglected life are just the ticket for this sweet Lab.

Affectionate, playful , active and ready to live the life a well loved Lab should, Corky hopes to find himself hiking with you through the Colorado fall colors very soon!
