My Story

This guy's official name is Copper but his foster family calls him Cheeto, The Big Cheese, Queso, Cheesy and Cheddar. He's a giant goofball who is still figuring out how to manage his energy and large body in this world. Cheese is active and loves to be around people and go for walks and car rides. He sleeps in a crate at night and stays in a crate for short periods of time during the day. His foster family works from home, so he doesn't have a lot of experience being by himself and would prefer a home with a similar scenario. He's generally gregarious and friendly but can be a little shy and unsure in new situations away from his comfort zone. He currently lives with three other dogs on a large acreage with horses and poultry. He chases chickens and ducks at times, but seems to understand it needs to end there. He particularly loves the water and playing with his border collie foster brother - he's much slower but a great wrestler! Cheese does not have experience with cats or kids. He could probably learn boundaries with cats but is quite large so small children are probably a no. His biggest behavioral issue is mouthiness - when he's excited or trying to reciprocate affection he likes to put hands or clothes in his mouth and nibble. His foster family is working on this as well as general house manners. Feel free to call or text his foster mom, Jess 617 seven nine seven 8185 with additional questions about this lovable hunk of Cheese.
