What a wonderful impression 2-3 year old year old Cooper, a handsome 68 pound boy, has made on his foster family!
"Cooper is a delight and as close to being a perfect dog as far as behavior is concerned with only a few rough edges that can easily be polished away with some training and love. He is loveable and gentle and shows such great affection toward us both.
"He loves everybody, plays well with my Lab, and he has a gentle mouth when taking treats or taking a toy back. He wants to be with you wherever you are and loves to be touched. He will, if allowed to, get on furniture but will stay off if told to do so. He wants to sleep in a bed with people, but has remained in his dog bed every night. He is obsessed with tennis balls (he'll sometimes have two in his mouth at a time!) and balls of any type and will bring them to you and engage you to play with him. If you do not want to play, he will coax you, but will stop if you say go lie down. He is very loveable and wants to please you. He is an ideal dog for a family who will give him lots of attention. He is not a couch potato and needs to be exercised, walked and played with."
We can add that Cooper is housetrained and does well left alone in the house when his foster parents go on errands. He knows some basic commands, is pretty good on the leash and loves his walks. He's easy going and initiates play with other dogs. Small critters need to get their running shoes on when Cooper spies them!
Affectionate, playful, well mannered and a truly delightful companion, do you think Cooper might just be the one for you?
