Cooper

Cooper is a Great Dane/ Black Lab Mix, weighing 80 pounds. He is 3yrs & 10months old ( Birthday 12/7/2006 ). Cooper is housebroken, neutered, and up to date with all shots (annual physical 10/19/2010). He is a very affectionate, loving, and an intelligent dog ( Coop understands the following commands- sit, down, stay, heel, lie down, leave it, go. He also rings a bell attached to the door when he needs to go outside to go to the bathroom ). He is a protector, only barking when others near the house, but calms easily if owner welcomes guest into the house. He LOVES to cuddle & be outdoors, go on walks, and play w/ balls or sticks. Wind and storms sometimes startle Cooper and he will hide or want to cuddle. Daily exercise and TLC have a calming effect with Cooper . He is able to be left alone for up to 9 hours with free access to entire house, and has never been destructive when left alone. Cooper is looking for a loving family that can provide him with daily exercise (a fenced in backyard is preferred), lots of cuddling and love. Cooper is good with children of all ages but is more comfortable with children ages 5 and up. He has also been around many different dogs and gets along w/ them, as long as a preferred toy or stick is not involved. Please be sure to read all about our organization before you apply to adopt.
