Despite some dominant and guarding behavior issues, which our training is working on, Cookie's past foster home reported great things about her. She is housebroken and is not a barker. She is a mellow girl in the home, loves to nap and take it easy, but when it is time for a walk she is ready at a moment’s notice. Take out her leash and she literally lights up! She’s likes getting plenty of exercise, but since she is a fast walker and she would prefer for someone to keep up with her!
At heart, we feel she must be a city dog because she's not bothered by the people and is not startled by the any loud noises. She's very curious and loves to sniff and explore everything. She's becoming quite popular in the neighborhood because she has to say hello to every dog that passes by. We’d love to put her in a home with another dog, though it’s not an absolute.
Cookie is looking for an adult home who has breed experience and is willing to continue working with a trainer to address her dominance issue. Cookie will also need consistent exercise and follow-up care of her ears and fur, as is typical of the breed. d care.
