Constantine

CONSTANTINE Constantine (Connie for short) is a big, wonderful boy who needs a forever home! He was adopted from an Indiana shelter back in November and has since been housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, all shots, and heartworm checked (he is negative). He is well-behaved and knows a few commands. He even got along great with the other dog and the cat in the family! Unfortunately, the family who adopted Connie decided that he was too big for them, and so they brought him back to that shelter, and Illinois Doberman Rescue saved him from there. Other than his size, he was perfect for his previous family. So now he's looking for a permanent home that will keep and love him forever. Connie is a young adult, around 1-2 years old, 80 pounds, and looks like a Smooth Collie with maybe some other breed added for good measure. He is as friendly as can be and as handsome as they come! He would be a fantastic addition to a family with another large dog that needs a friend to play with, as Connie adores other dogs, even big males. He's funny when he plays with his dog toys, throws them in the air like a pup, and loves to play fetch and return. Connie is great with kids, but we recommend older kids or children with large dog experience. He is not aggressive in any way, but he is large and might knock toddlers down accidentally. Connie knows "sit", "down", and "shake". His foster mom is working on "heel" and he's getting it quickly. What a fast learner!! He LOVES to cuddle and get kisses on his long face.
