My Story

This is Connie. She is a large, but submissive female. She loves to play with her brother and sisters but like all of them, seems to enjoy playing with other dogs as well. She also gets along with the cats and chickens. If she can get the cats or chickens to run she will chase them until told not to, but seems to be just playing and has no intent to actually harm any of the cats or chickens. Once she is scolded for chasing she seems to leave them alone, so we believe she will outgrow it. She is also a little love bug. She is one that wants to be near her humans and is willing to lie quietly when they are busy, just to be near them. Connie is one of four mixed breed puppies which were abandoned on a highway in NY. They are either Maremma or Pyr mix, we can’t be sure. The beauty of a Great Pyrenees can take your breath away, but they are unique dogs which require dedicated owners who have thoroughly researched the traits of the breed. Feel free to visit our website at www.nepyresq.org for information to start your journey! Northeast Pyrenees Rescue only sponsors dogs from New England and New York for placement in homes in our region. If you are interested in meeting Connie, please complete our application at http://www.nepyresq.org/adopapp.htm. Please include any questions in the comments field of the application. Keep in mind that we are a volunteer organization and encourage serious inquiries only.
