Introducing Colby, an adorable and lively young puppy ready to bring endless joy to her forever home! Colby is a bundle of energy and affection. Though she's still growing, her heart is already full of love. She currently weighs about 10lbs and her vet thinks she will most likely top out around 20-25lbs when fully grown – a nice sturdy size that is still small enough that she can be picked up. Even though she’s only just a little over four months old, Colby is already perfectly housetrained (using a combo of outdoor time and pee pads in her condo foster home). And her love for treats makes training a breeze! Colby already knows basic commands like "sit" and "come," and with her intelligence and enthusiasm, she's eager to learn even more. Imagine all the fun tricks you can teach her! Colby absolutely adores her walks. Though she can sometimes be a bit unsure of new people at first, she’ll often sit down in front of them upon meeting them, ready to receive the pets and attention that inevitably follow. She's doing great with her leash manners and will likely continue to improve with time and a consistent routine. Car rides are another of Colby's strengths. She handles trips with ease, making it a joy to take her along for longer walks or family outings. She’s also proven herself to be quite quiet thus far. When her foster family needs to leave her for up to a couple of hours, she settles nicely in a safe space (blocked off by a baby gate) and doesn’t whine or bark. Like all puppies though, Colby is full of energy and needs plenty of playtime to stay happy and healthy. Once she's had her fill of fun, she transforms into a calm and sweet angel at home. Her motto is definitely ‘play hard, nap hard!’ Being a puppy, Colby is currently teething and loves to chew (including on the occasional item that her fosters may wish she hadn’t taken a liking too). The good news is that she can usually be easily redirected to a toy to keep her occupied and content. While she’s teething, Colby would do best in a home without young children.
