Colby came to the Meadow Lake & District Humane Society as a stray out in the countryside. He appeared healthy but was never claimed. He has now been neutered and given shots and his microchip so is ready to go. He is about a year old, very friendly and energetic - a typical lab retriever. He does appear to be purebred and not a cross breed but of course we cannot be sure in that regard. He has a funny trait whereby he jumps straight up and down on all four feet! He was assessed by a dog trainer December 8, 2007 who says he has potential but does need training. He does not appear to have any hunting instincts and gets on with other dogs.
