My Story

Beautiful Cody is looking for a home - or even fosterhome!! Here is his story as told by the wonderful woman who saved him from the street:

Mid February I found Cody (as I call him) roaming the street, looking for anything he could manage to scrape up off the sidewalk. He had an injury on his nose & was very thin. Fortunately, his condition didn't have an effect on his spirit and if you met him you'd see he has a BIG HEART with lots of love to give his new forever family. Not only does he have a happy go lucky attitude, he's polite & playful too! The vet thinks he's around 5ish & a Brittany Spaniel mix or perhaps a Border Collie mix, Cody's teeth are somewhat worn and the Vet seems to think he may have been a rock chewer. He's showed no signs of being a chewer while hes been with me.

Cody's is a bit sensitive on his muzzle yet, however, this hasn't affected his sense of smell (he has no problem sniffing out treats) Cody is very deserving of a 2nd chance. Cody would love to be in a home, where he can be part of the family, co-habitate indoors & outdoors (and I don't mean the garage), get lots of XOXO's. Cody has recently been neutered, has been examined completely (including blood panel) he's been given the big "thumbs up" on a clean bill of health! Cody is ready to show his appreciation for being given a 2nd chance. Could this be you?

In the short time I've had him he's: 1. learned the doggy door 2. Sleeps the entire night in a crate (but prefers being out with the "in crowd" if it's not sleepy time yet. 3. He appears to be potty trained 4. has learned sit / wait when his food dish is put down--then "free" for him to eat 5. Has learned "Cody-crate" (followed with a treat, of course) hey, who can blame him--would you work for free? lol

He has no problem with other dogs or my cat. He's shown no aggression towards any of my other animals. I've discovered he really likes to play fetch with tennis balls (though he's not hyper about it) he would be equally content hanging out with his human and being loved on. Though, I've not seen him around children--I can't imagine him to show aggression of any sort. He's a very happy go lucky & polite dog. Cody is about 55 lbs and would do well in any home, even with a retired person.

Please let us know right away if you might have the perfect home for this wonderful boy!!
