ADOPTED!
I guess my owners got tired of me, so they brought me to the shelter where I became a staff favorite and the shelter's official "mascot". I even got to dress up like a little queen and ride in the holiday parade on the shelter float! Yup, I was quite the celebrity that day! Sadly, the shelter had a staff turnover this past summer and they needed to find a good home for me, so they contacted a nice rescue group who agreed to take me in. I am just little (I weigh about 10 lbs.) and my foster mom thinks I'm about 8 or 10 years old. I'm in excellent health, and my only "failing" is that I don't like to share my food or toys with other dogs, so I would prefer to be someone's special--and only--little princess. I'm up to date on immunizations, heartworm negative, and have been microchipped. And--before my new family takes me home--I'm even going to be professionally groomed, so I'll look even more beautiful than I do in this picture. Because of my small size, my rescue mom would prefer I not be adopted by a family with small children who might accidentally hurt me. She also hopes to find an adopter who just works part-time, works at home, or is retired so I won't have to be a latch key dog. (I'd make a great companion for an older person or couple.) A fenced in yard would be an extra plus (but no invisible fencing, please.) My adoption fee is $225, and if you would like more information about me, you may e-mail my foster mom at:

humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the
public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not
available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references
are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our
