My Story

Coco is a wonderful, happy go lucky guy. At only 1 year old, he still has some puppy playfulness that is well balanced with intelligence. Coco weighs about 53lbs. He is lean with a narrow snout…we aren’t sure what breed combo he is! Coco is crate trained and doing great with house training. He loves to ride in the car and rides quietly in the backseat. Inside the house, he loves to play with toys and other dog friends. When outside, he likes sniffing around and zooming around with his foster siblings. He has an “off switch” which is great! He loves giving kisses and snuggling. Coco accepts correction well and respects boundaries if they are set. In his foster, he isn't allowed on the couch and listens well to that rule. When the senior dog in his foster corrects him for trying to play with him, Coco simply walks away and finds something else to do. Coco is playful with cats, but prefers a home without children. They make him uncomfortable and he is nervous around kids, and we respect that! He is a great dog ready to be your best friend! Very impressionable and friendly! *********** Coco is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/USAHOTNADOPT2024 Adoption process: Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved. From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption. Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future no preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
