My Story
Meet Clyde!
Hello, new friends. My name is Clyde, and I've had a bit of a rough life so far. I'm what they call a golden oldie, and I weigh about 67 pounds, but I haven't always weighed that much. You see, my prior living situation included me being tied outside on some property where my people didn't even live. They only really came to feed me whenever they thought it was necessary, not on a daily basis. Before I was rescued, that was the only human interaction I received, so I wouldn't do well with kiddos. I'm what they call "a work in progress". I obviously was never house trained, so I wear a belly band, and I was never on a leash, so a fenced yard will be needed in my forever home. I get along with other dogs, and I go in a crate when my foster mom leaves, just like the rest of the dogs here.
I'm working on being the best boy for my forever humans, but I will still need someone who is going to be patient with me in my golden years. Someone who wants to make the last years of my life the best years! Someone who will show me how great it can be to live in a house with my people! If you have another doggo, all I ask is that I can eat by myself. Since food wasn't a constant for me, I'm learning that it now is, but I still don't want it stolen from me. I'm also learning that getting attention from humans is a super great thing, so I might pop your personal space bubble to get a good tummy rub! I enjoy sunning myself in the yard and laying on a nice soft bed in the house. I'd love to find my forever people who have patience and lots of love to give me. Maybe that could be you!
*Clyde is being fostered in Marshfield, WI.
