My Story

Meet Clover! Clover is approximately 3.5 years old terrier mix. She is spayed and weighs approximately 46lb. Clover is the sweetest, happiest girl you will ever meet. She absolutely loves people and wants to cuddle and be with her people. She is good with other dogs if met with proper introductions. Clover knows basic commands and is house trained. She has been left out at her foster mom’s house for up to 4 hours with no accidents or doing anything she shouldn’t. She lays with her foster dog sister on the couch while her foster mom is away. Clover likes to play with other dogs, but her main love is being with her people. While her foster mom is working from home, she will lay at her mom’s feet or try to snuggle up next to her. She is a very easy going dog. Clover is very good sleeping through the night on her dog bed in her foster mom’s room. She is also a fairly quiet dog. She will bark if her foster dog siblings are playing or she sees someone outside, but for the most part she’s very quiet. Clover is one of the sweetest dogs her foster mom has ever met and would be a great addition to many different types of families. Will you be her forever family? If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home. Current Adoption Fees Are: $400+tax for puppies to 3 years old $350+tax for ages 4-7 $250+tax for ages 8 and up Bonded pairs vary The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs. Should you see a dog that interests you, please send us a Facebook message or an email with your approval number. Please be patient with us, as Lucky Mutts Rescue is run strictly by volunteers and many of us work full time jobs, have families and also foster dogs. Thank you for considering Lucky Mutts Rescue for your next furry family member!
