Clancey ADOPTED

Clancey, 9 yrs is a beautiful blonde boy who found his way to GRRR after being tied up in a far corner of a his families' backyard for 2 years when they no longer wanted him inside. Instead of finding him another home or rescue, they just tied him up and left him all alone with a plastic dog house to use as his friend, entertainment, and shelter. Clancey had pretty much chewed up the dog house by the time he was rescued from this horrible situation.

Clancey is full of life and a larger/stocky built boy. You would never guess he's 9 years old by his energy level. These dogs live each day, and Clancey is the best example of that. He's not all caught up in his past, he's all about what today will bring! Clancey must have been without toys when he was sentenced to the back corner of the yard, so he LOVES toys now. And he is also very protective of his toys with other dogs. So it would be best if Clancey was an only dog or had a situation that would work out with training and working through his possessive behavior.

Clancey is so handsome that his looks will make you fall in love at first sight, but he needs someone who will look beyond his handsome face, and see that he does have some issues and will need someone with time, patience and a lot of love to work him through these behaviors that can be negative in many situations.

Do not let his age fool you. Clancey is young at heart and full of life. He loves to play fetch when he is not snuggled up against you. Clancey is obedient and cannot get enough human companionship. He loves everyone and is very gentle. His temporary foster dad says, "Out of forty Golden's I have fostered, Clancey is by far the happiest."
