None of us can believe how great he is doing. He went through about two weeks of complete depression but with lots of love from his foster mom he is finally pulling out of his rut and showing his mom how happy and wonderful he truly is!!! This little guy will make a wonderful addition to any family. We are estimating his age between 9-10 years.
Clancey was pulled for us by another rescue (Quixote Humane). She just happened to be there when a gentleman showed up with a beautiful little Shih Tzu. It turns out the man's wife passed away and it was her dog-now wait don't be judgemental.
We are thinking, by the way little Clancey acts, that he was the woman's constant companion. I am sure they loved each other dearly and once she passed maybe it was just to difficult for the man to see little Clancey alone and depressed. So I am thinking, that as much as it pained him to turn Clancey into the shelter, maybe he just couldn't bare to look at his wife's faithful little companion-- you know it was just too hard for him.
He is a wonderful little guy with a beautiful cream and silver coat. He is very loving, completely house trained, and pretty much an easy keeper who loves walks and attention. We think he would prefer to be an only child-he may be used to having all the attention lavished on him only. He is not aggressive with other dogs he just prefers to be alone with his mom.
Clancey's adoption fee is $200 and will include his neuter, heartworm test and 1 month of preventative, 3 year rabies, dental w-extractions of rotten teeth, and a 1 month supply of Pedigree!!
We accept donations (any amount helps)to help offset the medical fees and keep our adoption fees as reasonable as possible. If you can't own an animal or have too many but want to help please make a donation and you can sponser a specific animal just indicate that a donation has been made to help with the care of that animal. We can send you a monthly e-mail update on how the animal is doing and when it gets adopted. Thank you!
