My Story

Cinnamon and Sugar were surrendered to animal control as strays. We are fairly certain that they are littermates or possibly mother-daughter, but are not bonded and should be adopted separately. Both were in fairly rough condition when pulled for rescue with multiple skin wounds from fleas and animals. At the present time, Cinnamon is 87 pounds, but is very lean and we estimated that she is probably 20 pounds underweight for her breeds. Both Cinnamon and Sugar were tested and found to have ehrlichiosis (tick-borne disease). Cinnamon is also hw positive. They are currently being treated for the ehrlichiosis and we anticipate that they will gain weight once they start to recover. Cinnamon is a loving, happy, and playful girl. She loves bones, balls, and going to the dog park. Cinnamon always looks like she is smiling and her tail is wagging, even when reprimanded. She loves to be petted and will get very close - right in your face nose to nose. She would benefit from further command and leash training. Cinnamon gets along with other dogs. Her comfort with cats and children is to be determined. We do have prior history with both girls that they have killed poultry while they were strays, so caution is recommend with small animals.
