My Story

Lucky Cici now Emma, has gone to live with a couple and their cats, in Coquitlam. She fit in so smoothly the cats are her were soon snuggling. They report that "She's an absolute sweetheart and I can't imagine a better dog on this Earth." Thank-you to first Zoe, and then the Barter family for fostering her, and congrats to Dayna, Malcolm, Cici and co. for finding each other!

Poor Cici's new home did not work out as one of the sons in the family ended up in the hospital, and upon testing it was evident that he is severely allergic to dogs. The whole family is devistated, as are we. We all thought that Cici was a fantastic match, and she was doing great in her new home. She is looking for an equally loving home that will help ease everyone's disappointment.

Cici is just heading into foster care. She is a muscle-bound, purebred, tri-colour gal. She is short and wide, 70 lbs., and oh so cute. Has great manners, and is good with cats, kids and dogs. She is an all around fun gal, who is house-trained, and crate-trained. She would do fine as an only dog or with a male doggie companion.

Update on Cici (from her foster family)......GREAT with kitties, we have two. One is more brave, and him and Cici rub noses all the time. The other is a little more dog-weary, and doesn't even hiss at Cici.

She is also very good with both of my dogs, even in heat (which probably started on Sunday or Monday). She has a lot of energy, but not overly so. She is crate trained (although needs to be pushed in and doesn't much like going in , but is ok once in), but would really prefer to sleep with people I invited her up on my bed this morning after work before bed, and she just snuggled and looked at me like, "ohhhhhh yeah".

She is already sitting better since I got her, quick to learn and eager to please. Not too bad on a leash either, even with the other two! We have a very active and dog-loving one-year-old, whom she is fantastic and patient with. Keeps his little face very clean for him

Doesn't seem too interested in playing fetch, or with toys, but LOVES people and other animals. She pretty much just wants to be loved, and I think would make an exquisite best friend for a very lucky family. I don't know that she's received a lot of love in her life til' now, and just basks in it.

She is about three years old according to the shelter and my vet. She weighs 66lbs, looks a little ribby to me, but "excellent health" also according to my vet. She has had basic shots in the kennel, and rabies from my vet.

She's got a great life ahead of her - and I really think she's a splendid creature!
