Churchill

Introducing Churchill, an easy-going and charming dude who enjoys quite house life and warm human championship. Churchill came to SDR in April 2020 when dog adoption was not really on people's mind. As an adult and shy male, Churchill kept getting overlooked and was unfortunately still waiting for his forever home after 4 years. Churchill is mellow. He would not be the first pup climbing on your lap and demanding treats at an adoption event, but he will give gentle kisses and brush your leg with his fluffy tail (almost like a cat) after observing you for a while. Churchill is also quite. He moves swiftly through the room between his favorite dog bed next to his foster brother and his favorite chilling spot on the sofa next to his foster sister, without waking anyone up. His agility also shines during dog play session, which are usually short and sweet soft touches taking turns to chase each other. Churchill is also very gentle with children. He is not jumpy nor barky even when he is excited. He is not interested in cats. With humans, Churchill can be shy at first, and he is quite submissive. It took Churchill, or Churchy a few days to warm up to his foster parents. But once he felt safe, Churchy enjoyed pets, kisses, and brushing. Churchill is smart, obedient, and well-mannered. He is not destructive at all. He roams free at his foster home without supervision and never destroyed anything. Churchy eats little and naps a lot. He is completely housetrained.
