My Story

Chunk Are you looking for a sweet new best friend with a heart of gold and the face of a Jim Henson character? This sweet boy lost his person in early June. He was raised in a one woman home by a loving Mom. We fostered him for a while and learned he had not been socialized very much. We have been working with a lot him on that. The first week was slow. He was extremely fearful. We had to ignore him, leave him alone, and let him acclimate and learn he was safe for a few days. Pretty soon he was following us room to room to see what we were doing! He didn't eat the first few days, but he would take treats if you didn't look at him when you gave them to him. He walks great on a leash. He is potty trained and he is really coming around! Within a week's time he went from being so scared to wagging his tail and being excited to see us when we came home. He was following us around the house and was very curious about what we were up to. So cute! We hoped we had found him a forever home with a great lady. He had completely warmed up to her and they were fast friends. He loved to play in her yard and chase squirrels. However, the grown son and daughter of the lady who adopted him just moved in with her, and it is too overwhelming for this sweet baby. This will be the third time he will have to start over so he will need patience, love and understanding and a little space at first. Chunk is a timid guy who really wants nothing more than to please you. He has been through a lot of loss and really needs a forever home to call his own. He would probably do better with one person, or a small household, who can dedicate some time to making him feel safe and loved. He does fine by himself during the day with no problems. No crate is needed. We just made a little safe nook in the corner of a quiet room. He instantly knew that was where he was supposed to be. Do you have room in your heart for this sweet Muppet? Please help us find him a forever home where he can feel safe and loved and love you back in return.
