Chubby Chase - *URGT* NEEDS IMMED FOSTER

My name is CHUBBY CHASE and I’m a 7 yr M White/Grey “SHORKIE” (Shih Tzu/YorkieX). I’m 18 lbs of PURE GRUMP O’ LOVE. I’m being rehomed due to MOVING. I’m a SWEET BOY but was spoiled rotten as a puppy and never walked…only pushed around in a stroller. As a result I was treated like a child rather than a puppy and was not exposed to enough and became very “guarded” and developed a “fear of the unknown”. I’m not immediately warm and fuzzy when I meet people. Since I’m insecure and fearful I’m not entirely trustful of people that I don’t know and will greet you with a snarky growl… but if you go slow with me and let me come to you… I warm up quickly… I’m super food motivated so if you bring a yummy high value treat… I will be your friend quickly. I love food so much that I am overweight hence the nickname “CHUBBY CHASE” LOL… but I also have some food allergies to chicken so NO CHICKEN for me! I so want to be a dog and I have been walking on a leash and getting out and meeting the big wide world out there and I like it. I’m sad that my owner is not taking me with her…. but I’m looking forward to meeting someone new to show me what it’s like to be a dog and give me the support and confidence I need to not be so guarded and snarky. I know I’m a dog at heart and I want to do doggie things. I’m good with other dogs but because I’m grumpy .. it’s best that I don’t go with young children. I need an ADULT ONLY HOME with someone that is PATIENT, TOLERANT and COMPASSIONATE and is EXPERIENCED with handling SMALL SNARKY GRUMPY dogs that will go SLOW with me at first and build a RELATIONSHIP WITH ME. I am a SWEET LOVELY SILLY FUN LOVING BOY at HEART and I need someone to bring that out in me and BELIEVE IN ME!!!
