My Story
IF YOU LOVE DERPY DOGS, YOU WILL GO CRAZY FOR CHIP.
The derp is off the charts with this goof ball.
Chip never met anyone or anything he didn't want to call friend, though the horses were a little intimidating at first. His natural desire to know more, won over and shortly after, he was bored with them
At six months old and fifty pounds, Chip is going to be a great, mid/large dog with a "go anywhere, do anything" attitude about life. He would make a fabulous adventure buddy or family dog (he lives in a busy foster home with lots of kid traffic) and is ready to become an important part of some lucky person or family's life.
Chip is very dog social and greets other dogs with a happy heart but if the other dog is not in the mood for his friendly advances, he picks up what they are putting down and respects it, the result of living with a Rottweiler, a French Mastiff, a Springer Spaniel and a Goldendoodle, who have no problem laying down the law. He has also grown up with cats and calls them all friend, even when they might not feel the same.
Chip has a super short, super shiny, easy-care coat that is a gorgeous dark chocolate color and requires a quick once over with a mitt or soft brush, once or twice a week. His tail is constantly in motion and can be a bit painful, if he gets too wound up and your legs are in its way but it's hard to be mad at him for that, because he never stops laughing with his whole face and looking at you like he adores you. Your attention and affection make him the happiest guy on earth.
In addition to all this goodness, Chip also loves water, toys, treats and REALLY loves mealtime. He is crate trained, great in a car for traveling, is good on a leash and loves walks but needs occasional reminders about who is on the leadership end of the leash.
There is just so much to love about this silly goofball. You just can't have a bad day, when he is around BUT we do ask that you remember, he is still a puppy with all those puppy appropriate behaviors in place, so will need your guidance and direction, so that he can continue to grow in the amazing and positive direction he is currently on.
If you would like to meet this super happy, super loving guy, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and fill out the application.
