Chocolate is living in a foster home, fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with Chocolate's foster! Chocolate is: - Neutered - Up to date on vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm negative, after successful heartworm treatment in our care Chocolate is: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: Yes, after taking 10-15 minutes to settle initially. Leash walking: Still working on leash walking and will react to strangers and other dogs, but has been easy to redirect Dog social: Yes! He lives with other dogs in his foster home and thrives with the company of confident dog pals. Cat social: He has done well in living with a cat after a slow intro Kid friendly: This shy guy would prefer an adult-only home Chocolate likes: - Having dog BFFs to play and explore with - Giving high fives in exchange for tasty snacks - Going on critter patrol in the backyard Chocolate can be nervous with new people, and will need an adult-only home with patient adopters who will give him time, space, and treats when meeting new people. He is very dog friendly and loves having confident dog pals, but Chocolate will guard high-value items like bones from other dogs. He can also be body-sensitive at times, and should be with adults who can respect his body language and help to manage his resource guarding around other dogs. This guy would prefer a quieter neighborhood and a calmer home, where he can feel more at ease. Chocolate's adoption fee is $300.
