My teeth a ground down to my neglected past, but that doesn’t get to me. I still love a good bone to chew on and toys to squeak. I don’t destroy anything and I’m fully potty trained. I might be older but I’m young at heart. I still play and run around. I can take some time to warm up around you but all I ask for patience and respect. I do require a slow introduction to other dogs as I can be dog reactive, I am good with my two small foster siblings (terrier and chihuahua). I’m great when guests come over and don’t jump on them, I’ll just walk in front of them for pets. As for children, I’m great with them if they aren’t mean to me and try pull my ears or tail. I would be best in a home with children 9 and up. I LOVE to walk under soft things that are hanging up, so if you hang up a sweater or coat on a chair I’ll walk back and forth under it. I love it when my foster mom leaves her closet open. I’ll go back and forth letting the clothes “scratch” my back. I walk great on a leash but do need some redirection if I see a dog. I’m working on my training with my foster mom. I’m a great boy! I’ll be your best friend! I need a quiet home in a suburb or somewhere without too much hustle and bustle. I am a mellow boy who likes to chill. She/He is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Unless the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will only consider applications that are within 1 hour or 40 miles of Lemont, IL. This is due to the required vetting at our partner veterinarians. If the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will allow adoptions out of state or outside of our 1 hour or 40 mile restriction.
