My Story

This silly lovable goof was found as a puppy on the freeway along with a litter mate. They were taken to a county shelter and the other pup was quickly adopted while Chip waited. He was struggling in the shelter so the family who found him, adopted him, out of fear he would be euthanized in the shelter. They knew that was not a long-term solution so they reached out to us for help. Chip is still very much a puppy even though he is 2 years old and 80 lbs. We are working with him on his leash manners and basic commands. He is willful and strong so he will need a patient adopter who can help him with all things puppy. We have discovered that he will need to be placed as an only dog. That’s not to say with proper and consistent training he may be able to live with another dog his own size but for right now that is not a possibility. You can see more videos of Chip on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and in-person home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.
