Chief is a darling 12 week old male that is very sweet and was owner surrendered. He is good with other dogs and is vaccinated, neutered and on heartworm medication. Chief is listed as a Spaniel from the Shelter, however, his markings look like Great Pyrenees. Just a guess on our part.

Due to Hurricane related displacement, even owner surrender dogs are now on the euthanasia list to make room for more dogs from the Hurricane. Dogs are coming into this shelter from Louisiana on a daily basis. We are putting together a transport to New England for willing Fosters and Adopters alike, in order to save as many dogs as possible. If you can help by Fostering for several weeks or months until homes are found for these Southern dogs, please contact us immediately. These animals are in dire need of homes, if you cannot provide a home, sponsors & fosters are needed for heartworm treatment for some of them. Transportation from Marion, Arkansas, is a paid transport. The adoption fee is $200.00 for altered dogs. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR $300. for unaltered puppies with $100. refunded after altering.)
