Chico~

Chico seems to be an "old soul" and likes attention once he likes you. He doesn't seem to like younger people and still refuses to come to my son. He does however love all older people and comes straight up to them. He does let me and my dad pick him up. Sometimes when he's in a comfortable spot he will growl if you try to move him though. He is still a cuddle buddy though as you can see! He will need someone with patience and no kids in the house. If he growls leave him be!Here's a pupdate on Chicohe's settled in to his foster home quite nicely. He is the quinticential lap dog. Lots of cuddling and loads of energy. Doing great on walks. Housebroken. Loves sleeping in mom's bed at night. I crate him for a few hours a day when I go to work because he's not always nice to the other dogs in the house. This guy is a growlerat dogs and at humans if you try to pick him up or move him quickly. He lets you know whem he's not sure what you're doing Is ok. He hasn't bitten anyone or even nipped. We back off and give him plenty of space as soon as we hear the growl.He would do well in a house as an only dog with experienced dog ownersdont know if I would trust him with kidssimply because they might not know when enough is enough. He's also skeptical of men. Regardlesshe's a sweet little guy and we're really enjoying him.Chico's personality is really starting to come through. I believe he's a Chiweenielong narrow body, always on the move, bouncy gait and a bark too big for his little body. He does have some bad behavior that we are working onhe's already very possessive of me and snaps and growls at my dogs when they get close to me. We are working on boundaries and behavior. He hasn't shown any aggression towards humans, just the other dogs in the house. He seems to be a quick learner and hopefully with time and consistency the behavior will subside. Overall we're really enjoying him.Well someone is a lap dog! Chico is quite the snuggle bug!! First night here and he's already making himself at home. No accidents, used a pee pad last night and went out first thing in the morning. So far so good.Just sprang Chico from boardingwhat a sweet little boyhe's getting braver by the minuteslow and steady wins the trust!Chico is in need of a foster or adopter! He's a tiny little guy about 5 pounds! He's super scared and shy so he will need someone to be patient with him while he learns to trust you! If you want a dog, you can scoop up and cuddle right away he is not going to be the one for you. He takes time to warm up! Chico is a little chi that needs a home with some structure. He has been given too much authority in his current home and sets the rules on who can and cannot come it. Easy fix if with positive training and a little time.
