My Story

Queso's leading impulse is to love. That broad chest encompasses an equally large heart. I met him roaming the streets in my neighborhood. After he drank some of the water I offered, he paused, locked eyes with me, and kissed my leg before continuing to drink. He is young and energetic, and expresses his delight in bursts of energy that include joyful leaps, prancing about and butt wiggles that deserve a hula skirt. At this stage in his life, his body calls out for exercise. When his need for exercise is not met, it easily overpowers that thoughtful side. And he has a very thoughtful side. He is intelligent, and rapidly picks up on consistent use of vocabulary. He astonished me by being his own problem solver when, on his initiative, he stopped leaping at me and instead sought out his stuffed bear to vigorously shake and dance with while he self-managed "big feelings, (reuniting after an absence, meal prep). I was and still am Seriously Impressed. He is huge on eye contact and loves nothing better than steady pats while gazing into your eyes. Most adorable things: - First kiss (see above) - growled in his sleep after a truck in low gear rumbled past the house - needs eye contact on same level as food/water/shelter - sound track of his deep gentle snores would make a great sleep aid. Suggested title: "Ambient Velvet Hippo Dreams
