My Story

Peanut is a tiny 3 Lb. Chihuahua. This poor little girl had 2 broken legs. She was probably dropped when she was a young puppy and whoever had her did not take her to the vet, so her legs healed wrong. Both her knees are out of the socket and turned to the side and the bone grew with a curve. She's been walking like this for most of her life. The vet said it was one of the worse cases he had ever seen. On top of that, Peanut was tested positive for Heartworms.

Despite Peanut's injury and heart condition, Peanut is a very happy girl, she smiles and gives lots of kisses. She is just happy to be alive.

UPDATE: We were fortunate to get help with donations to pay for Peanut's HW treatment & surgeries. Peanut completed the HW treatment and on Nov. 15th she had her first surgery. After 3 weeks of recovery, Peanut will have her second leg operated on. She is now on the way to recovery.

We would like to thank all of you who found it in your heart to help Peanut.

If you'd like more information on Peanut, or as we call her SPIDER, please e-mail [email protected], and if you would like to adopt her, please fill out the adoption application on http://www.ponderapom.com/
