Chewy is one of those marvelous Labs who comes along once in a life time. About 4 years old and a trim 70 pounds, he’s as handsome as can be and has the fun-loving, kind and playful temperament everyone relishes in a Lab. Chewy came to us after his owner passed away and the extended family, who clearly loves him and took excellent care of him, could not longer keep him.

Chewy loves being a family dog; it’s his true passion in life. He’s well mannered, pretty mellow and very sweet. He’s wonderful with folks of all ages and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats and assorted small household critters. Chewy is housetrained, crate trained and knows all his basic commands and some hand signals. He’s very good on leash, slows down when asked and is great off leash too . . . . he pays attention to his family. When excited, he responds quickly to a reminder to “settle”.

Chewy adores family life and being part of the neighborhood scene. You might even find him jumping on the trampoline with the kids! He’s always ready to fetch, go for a swim, play, sneak in a kiss or go for car rides to anywhere. While Chewy loves all life has to offer, most of all, he loves being close to his family. “He’s a lover and my best friend. I’m so sad to part with him,” relates his guardian.
