Chewie

Chewie is a male, 2-year old Chocolate Labrador Retriever weighing 62 lbs. He is being fostered by SNIPSA in a home in San Antonio after he was rescued from San Antonio's Animal Control.

Chewie is a fine and handsome specimen of a purebred labrador retriever with all those endearing qualities that labs tend to have! He loves other dogs and he's even cat-safe. Chewie LOVES the water, playing with the garden hose until your arm gets tired. He also loves to fetch and he loves car rides. Chewie knows basic obedience commands and is crate-trained. We're not sure that he's ever been a house dog, but now that he's in a loving snipsa foster home, he is doing GREAT with housetraining! He is extremely intellegent and is eager to please. Chewie is also very athletic, with youthful energy. He loves to play with toys and rawhide chews. Once he's all played out, he'll nap quietly by your feet. He is a happy and goofy dog, just wanting to get along with absolutely everyone, even his slightly antagonistic foster dog sister and the cats in his foster home who puffed up and hissed at him. He is very good about not jumping on people and not begging (much) for table food. Chewie is neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped.
