CHEWBACCA*

In the words of Han Solo: I saved him, at least that's what he says, the big fuzzy fool, but really, he saved me. I was on a bad path, and Chewie, he put me straight. You could be saying the exact same thing about our Chewbacca!! And yes, there are some obvious differences- our Chewbacca is a dog and not a Wookie, and rather than being a resistance fighter, the only thing hes resisting is being stuck in the shelter for too long!! But, he can be a best friend to you just like his namesake was to Han Solo! Heres what one volunteer said about this sweet senior: Upon meeting Chewbacca for the first time I found him to be calm, easygoing, tolerant, and quiet. He warmed up quickly and became more and more friendly as he got to know me. He was eager for treats but took them very softly and patiently. He walked politely with a loose leash. We spent some time in the play yard and although he enjoyed his independence and exploring, he would check in often and come over to me when I called for him. I spent some time cleaning off his face, brushing him, and checking his ears and he was very tolerant and well-mannered through it all. The thing that struck me most about this sweet boy is the way he appreciated being with someone who cared for him. As I touched and talked to him, he leaned into me with his head pushed against me and would soak up all the affection he could get. He would do well in a calm and gentle home where he can experience kindness and love and be a constant part of a family. Chewbacca shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He seems to prefer the ladies over the fellas when it comes to his doggy friends, so would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure its a good fit. Ask to meet Chewbacca today!!
