My Story

Meet Chester: Chester is about a one year old (as of June 2024) lab / hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 40 pounds. Chester was a stray that we're assuming had been hit by a car. A northern Mississippi shelter took him in and got him medical care. Chester was evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon and it was determined that his leg injury was too old and extensive to be repaired. Chester is not in any pain and has trained himself to fully function without using his one leg. Our rescue pulled Chester from the shelter in the south. He is now in a foster home in Red Lion, PA and would love to meet his forever family. Chester is very friendly and very playful. Chester is very low keyed and well socialized. Chester gets along well with other dogs. Chester is currently using a doggie door and may need some patience as he adjusts to a new house training routine. We would love for Chester to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Chester is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you are interested in giving Chester the love that he deserves, please go to Charlie's Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Foster care in Red Lion, PA 17356
