Chester 6 yrs.

"Chester is such a gentle and loving companion; he's a real sweetie who just goes with the flow!" is the very first thing this handsome six year old Lab’s foster mom told us. He’s a bit thin at 50 pounds and has a beautiful, kind expressive face.

Chester is an affectionate boy who is just an all around delight. He’s housetrained, knows some basic commands, takes treats gently and quickly learned the doggie door. He’s wonderful on the leash and meets and greets everyone with a wag. No matter if you're big or small, no one is a stranger to Chester for long. His good manners have earned him free roam of the house when everyone is away. Dogs count him as a friend and the feline set appreciates his lack of interest. His foster mom remarked he seems to inspire the gentler side of other dogs.

Chester loves to be with you and is a quick learner. He's also a Lab who is very comfortable and confident in his own fur. He's pleasantly active and enjoys being out and about or laying quietly by your feet.

Would you be surprised to hear that Chester has three legs? He certainly is and so is everyone who meets him! He's very athletic and even insisted on accompanying his foster dad on a 5 mile jog! It was "snooze city" after that outing. While fetching is a bit of a mystery, he loves to swim and play with dog buddies.

Legend has it that three legged dogs are good luck. The family that welcomes Chester home forever will be lucky indeed to have such a loving, well mannered and companionable Lab in their life!
