Cherry the Tripod (adopt or foster)

CHERRY is 3 years old and is a sweet 3-legged Doberman girl who's in the 50 lb range and fully vetted. She is the sweetest dog ever and everyone falls in LOVE with her. Cherry walks well on a leash (her foster does use a no-pull harness) and gets along with other dogs that are NOT small breed. She is testy with smaller dogs she lived with before (under 20 lbs) but loves ramming around the yard and wrestling with the dogs closer to her size or bigger with zero issue. She has been good with dog-savvy cats who don't run from her but bc of her recent interactions with small dogs, we're going to be extra safe and say no cats in the home for her. Her tripod status doesn't slow her down a BIT except rarely on a slippery indoor floor if she tried to change direction or make a sharp corner too fast. She is a very sloppy water drinker. She LOVES being close to you on the couch, and will push her head under your arm to get in close. She loves a good belly rub. She is crate trained, and sleeps in there at night (but does not love it) She uses a slow feeder bowl because otherwise she eats too fast and wolfs the food down. Cherry knows basic commands and she rides well in the car. She is a ferocious chewer and needs tough chew toys available, and loves playing ball. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip at ~6 months at our clinic, free 30 days of pet insurance activated by a call, $60 reimbursement for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. Dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS, and masks are welcomed but not required. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there are NO DOGS KEPT AT THE SHOP. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada -sorry!)
