Prepare to be swept off your feet! Allow us to introduce the belles of the ball: Diva and Charmer, beautiful jet black 3 month old Labs. Each is a happy, bouncy and affectionate little girl. In between puppy naps, playing and cuddling with their foster families, these affectionate little girls are eagerly learning about housetraining and puppy manners and soaking up all they can learn. Their foster moms report:
"Charmer is an outstandingly gentle, calm puppy who loves people and is particularly fond of the younger set who she treats with extraordinary gentleness. She is not at all mouthy as some puppies can be. When being petted, she either sits politely or rolls over for a belly rub. She is about 75% potty trained."
"Diva is such a sweet puppy. She totally knows her name and comes every time she is called. She is as soft as silk and loves people and other dogs, big and small. I'd say we're well over half way there on the house training. She's perfect on a leash."
Puppies, while adorable, are not for everyone. Think carefully if your lifestyle has room for the extraordinary responsibility of raising a puppy. Do you truly have time for the daily nurturing and constant supervision required? Do you mind piddles on your floor, chewing on your things and, before you know it, a “teenage puppy” with ideas of her own? The proper handling and socialization of a puppy are critical to their development into a well adjusted adult. As they grow they will require your steady, kind leadership, commitment to their training and rely on you for their extensive daily exercise needs.
If you would like Charmer or Diva, “dogs to be”, to consider your application, please tell us why your home would be suitable for a puppy in the comments section of your application.
Diva and Charmer will only be placed in homes with (1) adults or older children who can treat a dog with kindness and respect and (2) one that clearly has the dedication and substantial time throughout the day to devote to raising a puppy to responsible adulthood.
In addition to the adoption fee, there is a required $200 spay deposit refundable upon proof of spay. You will be required to sign an Adoption Agreement.
