Charly - Foster to Adopt

He was pulled and placed into foster care where he lives with other dogs. He has taken a real shine to his foster dad and is very loyal to him. While he lives with other dogs, he does his own thing, he has tried to play with a couple dogs but it feels like he isn't sure what to do. He can be a growly guy around older dogs with disabilities and charge at them so no other dogs is best. Charly can be a barker if he wants something or tries to talk over his foster mom when talking to the foster dad. After being with his foster family it was decided a home with a secure fenced yard would best for Charly, he likes to stroll around his yard and sniff and explore. Because of his bark, apartments would not be suitable. He is a great passenger when he goes for rides with his foster dad, hangs out and watches tv. This boy is also very smart, he catches on quickly. He loves to play fetch! While he lives with other dogs, he would be happiest on his own with his own human to love and love him back. Charly would be so happy to be the centre of attention and go for daily walks and hang out with his person. When Charly went on his vet visit, he chose one of the staff to adore while on his visit and wanted to sit on her knee. The other staff where hesitant to touch him because of his intimidating growl. He takes treats very gently. Charly would do great as the only dog in the home with one person he can hang out with, go on adventures, daily walks, watching tv and hanging out together. He knows sit, paw, lay down - this boy is very smart and picks up things quickly. He takes treats very gently, can be growly around his food dish. Charly also needs an experienced dog owner who understands a "chatty" dog. He can come across as intimidating with his bark and growl but he backs away and will go to his bed.
